Frequently Asked Questions

Are you available 24/7 for me?

My business hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Wednesday. Just like you, I am dedicated to my overall wellness which means I have to balance work, my walk with Jesus, and my personal life. I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I am not an emergency mental health provider. Call 988 for a mental health crisis.

Do I have to have a mental illness to see a counselor?

No. That is a common myth. Counselors can help with everyday stressors, relationships, or simply just to have a caring sounding board.

Counselors are not required to have a diagnosis except if clients want insurance to pay for your services.

Do I have to see you in person?

I offer online video sessions on Mondays and Thursdays. If you prefer seeing me in person I have openings available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The office space is located in San Antonio, Texas near North Star Mall.

Do you accept insurance?

While some counselors accept insurance, I do not. I have found insurance to provide barriers to wellness due to lack of sufficient coverage, co-pays, and requiring a diagnosis, possible delays in payment.

I do offer a limited amount of reduced-cost session fees for those who qualify

Do I have to be a Christian to work with you?

No, I am open to all faiths, those who are questioning faith, those without religious/ spiritual affiliation, and those who are considering becoming Christians.

How do you incorporate the Christian faith into counseling?

We will use bible scripture, faith-based books, worksheets, prayer, and meditation, and put into place faith-based goals in conjunction with clinical mental health interventions.

We will find a balance between mind, body, and spirit but we will lead with God first.
